Meet your instructor
Christine Quist is a Skilled Trades BC–certified horticulturist and co-owner of North Arrow Nursery and Landscapes, where she designs, builds, cares for and grows plants for gardens across central Vancouver Island. She holds a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Vancouver Island University and a Provincial Instructor's Diploma from Vancouver Community College, and has been teaching and leading in post-secondary horticulture programs since 2018.
Christine has worked in the horticulture industry for over 15 years and still gets excited every time a tray of seedlings comes up or a flower blooms. Christine enjoys sharing with gardeners that growing and caring for plants is well within their reach, and she's looking forward to bringing that enthusiasm to the community education courses at Milner Gardens.
