Medical Office Assistant Certificate

Train online for an in-demand role in health care

Looking to build a career in the health care field? A Medical Office Assistant (MOA) supports doctors and other health care professionals in a variety of medical settings.

VIU has partnered with Okanagan College to make part-time online MOA training available for Vancouver Island students.

How the Okanagan and VIU partnership works

If you live on Vancouver Island, you can take classes online at Okanagan College. Then you can do the 90-hour practicum portion in your home community.

You can receive transfer credit at Okanagan College if you have taken VIU’s Medical Terminology and Anatomy & Physiology course in the past two years.
